Camping in Aquitaine

The Aquitaine is one of the biggest regions of France and stretches from above Arcachon down into the South-West. The popular coastal towns of Biscarrosse, Messanges and Biarritz are all worth a visit.

Probably most well know for the `Dune du Pilat', the largest sand dune in Europe, Arcachon is a popular coastal resort and its beaches have huge appeal to all who visit the town.

Further south and lying close to the Spanish border are Biarritz, Bayonne and St Jean de Luz. Known as the Basque region, you find yourself surrounded by pretty houses in picturesque towns and villages. Biarritz is the capital of surfing and enjoys a lively atmosphere.

Aquitaine Camping Holidays - Self Drive

We suggest a Portsmouth to Santander ferry crossing, leaving you with a 3-4 hour drive to your campsite. To break up the journey, why not book into a hotel for the night?
