Camping in the Vendee

A perfect blend of deep woodland, long sandy beaches, family resorts and century-old villages must mean that you're in the Vendee. Camping in the Vendee has long been the top camping holiday choice for the British tourists.

From St Jean de Monts along the coast through St Hilaire and down to La Tranche sur Mer, there are miles of virtually unbroken coastline. The majority of our Vendee campsites are on or close to the beach and have a whole range of onsite facilities to keep even the most active of children entertained!

Away from the beach explore the historic villages or spend your day discovering the countryside on foot or by bicycle along the footpaths and cycle paths that cross the region.

An overnight from Portsmouth to St Malo will leave you with approx 3 hours driving to the northern resorts of the Vendee. Alternatively, a Plymouth to Roscoff crossing is then a 4 hour drive to St Jean de Monts. If you do want to break up the journey or you have an early ferry crossing it's a good idea to book an overnight hotel.
