This is an attractive 11th century detached stone house in the historic hamlet of Faize just 6km from St. Emilion. It offers three spacious bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, as well as a lounge and separate dining room, both with open or glass-fronted fire. Many of the original features have been preserved such as wooden beams and stone walls, as well as the original stone well, which is situated in the bar area of the house, next to the lounge. There is a big, well kept garden with a basin and and a little stream running through it at the back of the property, thus dividing the garden in two distinctive parts.
The famous town of St. Emilion and its mysterious underground town and church are definitely worth a visit. During the summer, there is also a little train that takes you around the town to discover the vineyards. Bordeaux (28 miles) and the Dordogne river (12 miles) also lie within easy driving distance.
