The Languedoc-Roussillon stretches from the Pyrenees and the Spanish border to the west, across the Mediterranean coast to the Rhone valley in the east. This beautiful region mixes tourist seaside resorts and sandy beaches with dramatic landscapes and medieval architecture.
Down into the south of the Languedoc is the Catalan region with Perpignan and the seaside towns of Argéles-sur-mer and St Cyprien. Take Le Train Jaune (yellow train) from near Perpignan up into the Pyrenees and marvel at the most spectacular of scenery.
