What does it mean to be an "Affiliate"?

Affiliate means to be associated or connected. Affiliate programs are basically partnerships between businesses and webmasters. It is an innovative and convenient way to expand markets. Sometimes affiliate programs are referred to as associate, partner or referral programs.

What do I earn when one of my visitors clicks through and buys from you?

You earn 6% of the value of the sale. For affiliates regularly selling more than 30 bookings a month, we will by agreement raise this to an 8% payout.

How do you track online sales back tome?

When you link to our site (to any page or offer - not just the home page) you add the variable kbid=XXXX (where XXXX is an affiliate number given to you when you sign up) to the link. Our site then does two things. First it lays a cookie on the user's computer and records the "click" to our site on your affiliate login area. If that person goes on to buy online then the cookie is instantly retrieved along with the sale amount and our order reference and the sale is listed instantly as "pending" in your login area.

How do you track phone enquiries back to me?

This is the most clever part! All affiliate links have a different telephone number on the screen than non-affiliate links. This phone number is linked to our DDI technology so that as soon as the call comes through, the call centre will automatically be recording the sale as an affiliate sale. They can't "forget"... The call comes in and the details are on the call centre's screen. Your affiliate number will also be on the user's web page and even if a person takes the holiday reference number from the screen and calls some time later, the affiliate code is embedded on the holiday reference number. At regular intervals, the reports from the call centre affiliate sales are used to update your affiliate login. Call centre sale tracking is not instant.

When are commission checks sent?

We send checks every month.  They are sent around the 30th of each month, and the check that is sent covers the commissions from the month before.

How do I know how much I have earned?

You will be given a username and a password and will be able to access your affiliate administration panel. There, you can obtain information on the number of impressions and click-throughs you have generated, as well as commissions earned.

Do I have to have my own site to be an Affiliate?

No, you can use a link in your Email Messages, Newsletters, etc. This link will direct the reader to the us and track them so that we know to give you a commission when they purchase.

Do you handle all of the transactions – or do I have to get a merchant account and start taking orders at my site?

We handle all transactions through our site. We just need you to send us traffic - we'll do the rest!
