Local traffic can sometimes be heard. You have to drive to the sandy beach by the village of St Pair-sur-Mer, two miles away.

Visit the impressive fortified monastery, dating from the 8th century, at Le Mont St Michel. It is set above a Medieval village high on a granite mound.
