Craignure, a small and friendly village on the Isle of Mull, is a 45 minute ferry journey from Oban. Located on the East of the island, it is a great location for visitors. A local bus service meets some of the ferries with connections to Tobermory at the north of the island and Fionnphort (for ferries to Iona) at the Southwest of Mull. Not all ferries are met by the bus, so be sure to check the bus timetables! Craignure village offers a Cafe, shop, petrol station, post office and Tourist Information Centre, and for a warm and friendly welcome and live entertainment (every Saturday night during the summer season) including local musicians playing jigs and reels, or folk and blues, try the Craignure Inn, open all year round. Duart Castle historic home to the Clan Maclean is not far away, while a narrow gauge railway runs from Craignure along to Torosay Castle. For walkers, cyclists and wildlife enthusiasts there is plenty to discover on the Isle of Mull, so plan ahead and make the most of your trip.
