Annecy is just a short drive from Geneva. A place of tranquillity in the spring, and a hive of activity in the summer. Lake Annecy has a 35km shoreline and is dotted with picturesque villages and sandy beaches. The old town is stunning and is most famous for the old prison or Palais de l’Île. The Sunday market is superb with vendors selling everything from fresh fruit and veg to local produce or hand-made jewellery.

Located on the banks of Lake Geneva (or Lac Léman to the French), Evian is a popular spa town and of course the birthplace of natural mineral water. The largest town Lake Geneva is Thonon-les-Bains and is a good base from which to discover the surrounding area.
