Tignes & Val d'Isère are the two main resorts of Espace Killy ski area. One of the biggest attraction to the resort is La Grande Motte glacier allowing skiing is all year round.
At 2100m, Tignes is a high altitude resort and is often first choice for those who want to ski early or late in the season. Tignes resort is divided into 5 main areas - Tignes-le Lac, Tignes Val Claret, Le Lavachet and the two lower villages of Tignes-les-Boisses and Tignes-les-Brevières.
The Grand Motte glacier is reached by cable car from Tignes Val Claret and is where the experts tend to head to and with only 1 green run and some more difficult blue pistes, this is an ideal resort for experienced skiiers. |
