Serre Chevalier is actually the name give to several small villages between Grenoble and Briançon. One of the biggest ski areas in Europe with 250km of pistes, the resort is most suited to intermediates but is also good for beginners.
The advantage to Serre Chevalier and the villages that are part of it, is that a further 900km of pistes become available if you decide to invest in the Grand Galaxie ski lift pass.
To best experience the bars and restaurants, it's best to have a car, though traffic can get busy at certain times of the day. |
