Stromness Ferry Port

Stromness ferry port is located on the south west coast of mainland Orkney. The fine old town of Stromness is located on the shore of Hamnavoe, an inlet of Scapa Flow, and is one of the main ferry ports on Orkney and the arrival point for NorthLink Ferries from mainland Scotland. With its historic winding streets, dramatic aspect and busy harbour, Stromness is a town shaped by the sea, and a stroll along it's narrow streets will show more than one blue plaque commemorating it's naval history. Stromness has a small number of banks, shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants, all of which are within easy walking distance from the ferry terminal itself. Ferries from Stromness sail daily to Scrabster on Scotland's north east coast.
