There are also the typical towns of Cambo-les-Bains, Espelette (famous for its red peppers) and St-Jean-Pied-de-Port to explore. Most regional products can be found on the local markets and don’t forget to taste a few Basque specialities, such as the popular "Poulet basque," in the local restaurants.
The Spanish border is within easy reach so spending a day abroad can be a great idea for an excursion.
